On her way to school, she and her good friend Sayaka Miki encounters a small cat-like creature who calls itself as Kyubey. "Madoka Kaname is your average 14-year old girl until the day she wakes up from a horridly bizarre dream. Its success was so inviting that it spawned a number of manga series and spin offs not to mention it was also made into a game for the PS Vita last December 2013. It has received widespread critical acclaim from all parts of the world. Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica has won numerous prizes and accolades since then. Its biggest award yet is when it won the Grand Prize for animation in the 2011 Japan Media Arts award. Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica has won the Television Award at the 16th Animation Kobe Awards as well as a number Newtype awards. The licensed version of Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica was schedule to make its debut on the ABC3 and Neon Alley BY Madman Entertainment, Aniplex of America and Manga Entertainment.
The anime premiered on MBS, TBS and CBC on January 2011 and ran for 12 impeccably great episodes. Shaft and Aniplex worked in collaboration on the show together with Akiyuki Shinbo, a dignified director in his own right who has worked on several shows.
